Puyallup dog owners group donates $15,000 after police K-9's death
A Puyallup dog owners association has donated $15,000 to its local police K-9 unit.
Puyallup Valley Dog Fanciers made the donation Monday after learning about the death of K-9 officer Chance and the cost of replacing and training police dogs. The 6-year-old German shepherd died unexpectedly during a routine medical procedure last month.
The group gave a check to police Chief Bryan Jeter at a ceremony attended by other K-9 officers and their handlers.
