Grant will enable Kent Fire Department to hire four positions

The Kent Fire Department will be able to hire four new firefighters thanks to an $811,704 grant from the Department of Homeland Security.
The two-year Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response grant (SAFER) was announced today.
