Clover Park schools receive Defense grant

The Department of Defense has awarded a $2.48 million grant to several schools in the Clover Park School District. Grant funds will be used to boost student achievement in science and math using technology and engineering, and to teach kids about community, personal responsibility and well-being.

The Department of Defense has awarded a $2.48 million grant to several schools in the Clover Park School District. Grant funds will be used to boost student achievement in science and math using technology and engineering, and to teach kids about community, personal responsibility and well-being.

Schools receiving grant money are Beachwood, Carter Lake, Clarkmoor, Evergreen, Greenwood and Hillside elementary schools, all located on Joint Base Lewis-McChord; Custer, Dower, Idlewild, Lake Louise, Oakbrook and Park Lodge elementary schools; and Harrison Preparatory School.
