Employee injured during fire at Schnitzer Steel plant in Tacoma

A conveyor belt caught fire at Schnitzer Steel in Tacoma this morning, injuring one worker and halting work while firefighters try to cool the equipment.

The blaze was reported about 8:30 a.m. at the plant, 1902 Marine View Drive.
