Local theaters not changing showings

C.R. ROBERTS

None of the Tacoma area movie theaters contacted by The News Tribune Friday morning had changed their scheduled showings of "The Dark Knight Rises," nor did they comment on any increase in security.

AMC Theatres, the nation's second-largest theater chain, with more than 300 movie houses, said it will not allow people to wear costumes or face-covering masks into its theaters.

Visits to a handful of local theaters showed no increased presence of police or other security personnel near theater entrances.
