Tacoma man, 28, wanted on robbery charge

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 28-year-old man charged with robbing a 7-Eleven store in Tacoma two months ago.

Anthony Walton has been charged with first-degree robbery in the May 17 holdup of the store on South Oakes Street.

Police said the robber pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money before running away. Walton was identified as a suspect using a palm print left inside the front door and surveillance footage, which showed the robber wearing a distinctive Adidas shoe.

Walton is known to frequent the Tacoma, Federal Way and Des Moines areas. Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

Walton is described as 6 feet 1 with black hair and brown eyes.
