The state Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction recently released its list of statewide school performance in low-income schools, as required by the federal government. The list covers schools that receive federal Title I funding, which goes to high-poverty schools.

Here are new principal assignments announced today by Tacoma Public Schools officials. All changes must still be approved by the Tacoma School Board:
Parents and Friends for Tacoma Public Schools will host a community meeting, “Learn About How Our Schools are Funded,” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Parents and Friends for Tacoma Public Schools will discuss middle schools at a public forum at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at King’s Books, 218 St. Helens Ave., Tacoma.
