A 20-year-old man who drowned Saturday in Lake Tapps was identified Monday as Marcus “Flyboy” Henderson, a Minnesota rapper.

Henderson tried to swim across the lake about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, slipped under the water and did not come up, authorities said. His swimming partner and people nearby on inner tubes were unable to help him.

Rescuers found his body late Saturday using sonar. A dive team recovered his body.

According to Henderson’s website, when he was a child he replayed songs he heard on the radio until he memorized them. His favorite was the Jay-Z song, “I Just Wanna Love U (Give It to Me).”

He released two albums – “Forever Ain’t Enough” and “Dream Catcher.”
