TRACKING LOCAL GOLFERS ON THE PGA TOUR

This week: RBC Canadian Open, today through Sunday, Hamilton Golf and Country Club, Ancaster, Ontario.

In the field: Gig Harbor’s Kyle Stanley.

World ranking: 56th.

2012 earnings: $2.18 million (18th on the PGA Tour).

Last tournament: After making four cuts in a row, including a tied-for-39th finish at last week’s British Open (5-over-par 285) at Royal Lytham & St. Annes, is the Bellarmine Prep graduate officially back in form? Thirteen of his past 16 rounds have been at par or better – and at some pretty tough tournaments, including the AT&T National and the season’s third major championship last week. He ranks 13th on the PGA Tour in ball-striking (total driving and greens hit in regulation combined). A focus from here on out will be his putting, in which he ranks between 175th and 200th in most categories.

Tee time today: 5:10 a.m. (PDT) off the 10th tee.
