A 40-year-old Eatonville man died overnight in a one-car accident on state Route 7.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Douglas Chappell was headed southbound on SR7 around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. As he neared the intersection with Ohop Valley Road, Chappell's car left the roadway and struck a tree.
