A manhunt that started with an assault on a Fife Police officer ended Friday evening with the capture of a 24-year-old man wanted in Oregon for homicide and attempted murder.
Officers responded about 9 a.m. today to an anonymous tip that a stolen pickup connected to an Amber Alert for a one-year-old Montana boy was parked outside a Fife apartment complex, according to police.
Fife Police Chief Brad Blackburn just confirmed the capture of a man wanted on a warrant out of Oregon for homicide and attempted murder. The chase drew 8 agencies and blocked traffic near the Milroy Bridge, a key link between Fife and Puyallup.
