A 27-year-old man was shot several times Friday at a Federal Way apartment, police said.
Officers were called at 3 a.m. to the 29600 block of 24th Avenue South and found a man and his girlfriend inside an apartment. The man had been shot multiple times in the abdomen.
He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. He underwent surgery Friday and was listed in stable condition. Detectives had not yet interviewed him.
The man was shot during a party involving six to eight people, police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said. The person who lives in the apartment had fled by the time officers arrived. Neither the wounded man nor his girlfriend lives in the apartment.
Detectives interviewed the girlfriend, whom police said did not see the shooting.
A motive remained unknown, police said.
