On the Road: Blues and Seafood
What: The event offers regional blues bands, fresh seafood, micro-brews, Northwest wine and barbecued Willapa Bay oysters.
When: 6-10 p.m. Aug. 17 and 3:30-10 p.m. Aug. 18.
Where: Port of Ilwaco
All Star Jam: The event kicks off Aug. 17 with the jam, featuring The Coyote Kings and North Coast Blues. They will be joined by special guests.
The big show: The second day includes performances by Boogie Bone, The Strange Tones and Volcano Vixens and The Norman Sylvester Band. Headliners for the night are The Heartbreakers featuring a lineup of some of the Northwest’s best female blues singers including Lucy Hammond, Rae Gordon, Lady A, Lady Kat True Blue, Maggie Kitson and Mary McPage.
Food court: This year’s food area is being expanded with more regional offerings from Long Beach Peninsula seafood providers. Among them will be micro-brews, regional wines and barbecued oysters from Willapa Bay.
Tickets: $10 for Blues All Star Jam on Aug. 17 and $20 for Aug. 18 events.
