Laura Kostad of Orting High School represented Washington as a delegate to the 2012 National Youth Science Camp operated by the National Youth Science Foundation.

She joined 119 other top high school graduates representing the United States and 11 other countries at the four-week program. Scientists from various disciplines present lectures and lead studies at the camp.
