The last of five teens accused of setting fire to four homes in a new Lacey housing development this spring pleaded guilty Monday in Thurston County Juvenile Court.
All of the homes were under construction in the 4000 block of 20th Avenue Northwest. The first three fires were set March 31 and spread to a fourth home. The fourth fire was set April 3. Damage was estimated to be more than $400,000.
A 13-year-old boy pleaded guilty to first-degree arson, residential burglary and first-degree malicious mischief Monday, according to Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Megan Winder. The boy was sentenced to between 45 weeks and two years, four weeks in juvenile detention.
Two 13-year-olds, two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old were arrested in April.
