Body found on Mount Rainier identified as Mark Vucich, camper who went missing in January

The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office is scheduled to conduct an autopsy today on the body of a man recovered Monday from Mount Rainier. It is unknown if an identity will be released today.

The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the body recovered Monday from Mount Rainier as that of Mark Vucich. The cause of death has not been determined.

The 37-year-old resident of Agoura Hills, Calif., and Michelle Trojanowski, 30, of Atlanta, were reported missing Jan. 15 after they failed to return from planned to camp on the Muir Snowfield.
