People For Puget Sound is offering a chance to explore the world of crustaceans, jellyfish and their neighbors Saturday night.
Trained naturalists from the organization will have multiple lights set up in the water and answer questions and help identify marine creatures that can be seen. There also will be viewing tanks to give everyone a closer look at the creatures brought in for observation.
This event, running from 9-10 p.m., will be at Hood Canal Marina 5101 E. State Route 106, Union.
People of all ages are welcome, although the event works best with kids over 8 years old. Participants should plan to bring a flashlight and be dressed for the weather.
Pier Peers are free for People For Puget Sound members and $5 for nonmembers. To reserve a spot, contact Ann Butler at abutler@pugetsound.org or 360-754-9177.
