A jury convicted a brother and sister Wednesday in a fatal shooting and robbery last year in Lakewood.
Corey Trosclair, 42, and Kisha L. Fisher, 38, were found guilty of first-degree murder in the killing of Lenard Masten, 39.
Pierce County prosecutors said Trosclair and codefendant Mario M. Steele, 35, attacked Masten on Jan. 16, 2011, in an attempt to rob him. Masten died after being shot during the confrontation.
Fisher, Steele’s live-in girlfriend, called Masten to set up a meeting, court records show. Steele told detectives Fisher suggested the men rob Masten, whom she used to date, according to prosecutors. She was also mad at Masten, because he spread rumors about her being a prostitute, and she knew he was a drug dealer, prosecutors wrote.
Trosclair faces more than 30 years in prison, and Fischer more than 25. They will be sentenced Aug. 24.
Steele’s trial is scheduled for January.
