The Green Bay Packers released five players on Friday, including veteran defensive end Anthony Hargrove.
Hargrove, who recorded 18 tackles and three sacks over 15 games for the Seattle Seahawks last season, was one of the individuals receiving a suspension for his part in the New Orleans Saints' bounty scandal.
The 29-year-old Hargrove is facing an eight-game ban should any team decide to sign him.
Hargrove has 223 tackles and 19 1/2 sacks over 102 career games with the Seahawks, Saints, Bills and Rams.
Green Bay also released wide receiver Andrew Brewer, safety Micah Pellerin, offensive tackle Herb Taylor and cornerback Dion Turner.
