Tampa Bay Buccaneers guard Davin Joseph will have surgery on Monday to repair his left patellar tendon and will be placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

He suffered the injury with less than two minutes remaining in Friday's game against the New England Patriots. Teammate Donald Penn blocked Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones into Joseph's leg.

Tampa's first-round pick, 23rd overall, of the 2006 draft, he had started all 16 games last season and has started 83 of the 84 games he has played in six seasons.
