The Miami Dolphins have traded cornerback Vonta Davis to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2013 second-round pick and a conditional draft choice in 2013.
Davis, 24, has played in 44 games with the Dolphins since being selected with the 25th overall pick in the 2009 draft.
"We appreciate all the contributions Vontae has made to the Dolphins since we drafted him in 2009 and we want to wish him the best of success in Indianapolis," said Miami general manager Jeff Ireland.
The University of Illinois product led the team with four interceptions last season and has nine picks and 148 total tackles during his three-year career.
