A 56-year-old woman from Sumner died Saturday afternoon in a car crash on state Route 410.
The Washington State Patrol reported that Pamela Bone was driving a 1991 Nissan Sentra westbound on Route 410 around 1:15 p.m. Saturday when her car crossed the center line and struck a 2000 Ford F-250 pickup.
The pickup, driven by a 62-year-old man from Bonney Lake, rolled, coming to rest in the eastbound lane near 234th Avenue East, the State Patrol reports. Bone’s car ended up in the westbound lane.
Bone died at the scene. The driver of the pickup was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup for treatment of his injuries. He is expected to recover, Trooper Guy Gill said.
It does not appear that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, the State Patrol said.
