The Philadelphia Eagles trimmed their roster to the 75-man limit on Monday, including the placement of left tackle Jason Peters on the reserve/non-football injury list.
Peters re-ruptured his surgically repaired Achilles tendon after a rolling walker he was using malfunctioned back in May. As a result, his recovery time was pushed back.
In addition, the Birds placed defensive tackle Mike Patterson on the reserve/non-football illness list. Patterson is still on the mend from brain surgery following the diagnosis of arteriovenous malformation which caused him to have a seizure during camp last year.
Both players are eligible to return to practice between Weeks 6 and 9 of the regular season.
Philly also placed guard Mike Gibson on injured reserve with a hip flexor issue and waived wide receiver Jamel Hamler.
