The Houston Texans escaped Thursday's preseason finale against the Minnesota Vikings without major injuries on the field. The same likely could not be said for a patron at Reliant Stadium.

A man attending Thursday's preseason contest between the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings reportedly fell to his death at Reliant Stadium.

According to multiple reports, a 45-year-old fan, whose identity has not been revealed, fell from an escalator on the northeast side of the stadium due to horseplay.

CBS Houston reported the man was allegedly trying to slide down the outside handrail when he fell three stories onto the pavement. He was rushed to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital and was reportedly pronounced dead on arrival.

Houston police are investigating what they called an accidental death, according to CBS Houston.
