Houston Texans offensive tackle Rashad Butler suffered a torn triceps muscle in Thursday's preseason win over the Minnesota Vikings and will miss the entire 2012 season.

Butler, 29, missed all but two games last season due to the same injury.

"Well, he tore his other tricep," Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said. "He's finished; he's out for the year. Unfortunate, tough, tough deal."

The Miami (FL) product was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2006 draft. He played in all 16 games in both 2009 and 2010 -- with four starts.
