Two people were seriously wounded late Wednesday when at least two men burst into an Auburn house and started shooting, police said.
The incident occurred about 11:50 p.m. in the 6000 block of South 298th Place.
Officers responded and found two men, ages 23 and 24, suffering from gunshot wounds. One had been assaulted and shot in the arm; the other had been shot in the leg and ran to a neighbor’s house for help.
Both were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and were stable Thursday afternoon, police said.
Police arrested a 38-year-old Seattle man near the home where the shooting took place. The second suspect remains missing, but police said they had identified a person of interest. One weapon has been recovered.
The motive for the shooting is unclear, but police said it was not random.
Up to five people were in the home, and detectives are interviewing witnesses to determine what led to the shooting.
A small marijuana grow, packaged marijuana and a shotgun were recovered from the scene, police said.
