 • Join in volunteering to help at the Habitat Restoration at Jordan/Lower Hylebos Creek today from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Gather up your work gloves, shovels and boots and head out to Lower Hylebos Nature Park, 6125 Eighth St. E., Tacoma.

 • Want to discover nature, learn about local wildlife and maybe even try out the new zip line course? It’s the Get Out of the Rut Weekend at Northwest Trek, where you can do all that and more. Hours are 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. today, Sunday and Monday. Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, 11610 Trek Drive E., Eatonville. Admission is $8-$18, event activities are included with admission. nwtrek.org.

 • If you missed the circus when it was at the Tacoma Dome, you can still catch it at the ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St., Kent. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus has showtimes of 11:30 a.m., 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. today, 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday, and noon and 4 p.m. Monday. Go to showarecenter.com for ticket information.
