LOGGERS GAMEDAY

PUGET SOUND (0-0) AT UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH (0-0)

11 a.m., Harris Stadium, Lebanon, Tenn.

Radio: None.

The Series: UOS leads, 1-0. The Tigers won, 34-23, in the only meeting last season in Tacoma.

What to watch: The Tigers feature a triple-option attack that was second in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (231.5 yards a game). What surprised the Loggers in last year’s game was the Tigers’ success through the air – something UPS coach Jeff Thomas said his team is prepared for this time around. ... Again, the Loggers will throw the ball often, and has emerging quarterback Braden Foley (1,268 yards, 11 touchdowns) at the helm.

What’s at stake: If the Loggers are going to take a step forward in 2012, this is a team they have to beat.

TNT pick: UPS, 34-22.
