Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart was listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Stewart is suffering from a right ankle injury that occurred in Carolina's third preseason game against the New York Jets.

He did not play in the preseason finale against Pittsburgh and has not participated in practice at all this week.

Stewart, entering his fifth season, signed a five-year deal with Carolina in early August and has 3,500 yards and 26 touchdowns on the ground, along with 81 catches for 702 yards and three scores in his four-year career.

Also on the injury report is wide receiver Steve Smith, who is listed as probable with a foot injury. He was a full participant in practice all week.
