Seattle Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch is active for Sunday's season opener against the Arizona Cardinals
Lynch was listed as questionable during the week because of back spasms that sidelined him since the second week of the preseason.
In 15 games for Seattle last year, the 27-year-old posted 1,204 yards on 285 carries to go with 12 rushing scores and one receiving touchdown.
Lynch became a fan-favorite in Seattle after he routinely broke huge runs and squeezed out of almost inescapable tackles to lift his team, something he affectionately called "going beast mode."
Wide receiver Golden Tate is inactive for Sunday, as Braylon Edwards will start in his place.
