 • Pierce County libraries offer a variety of free computer classes at its various branches. Here are a couple happening today:

 • Join the Tacoma Science Café for a discussion on the current and concerning topic of sports concussions, the brain injuries affecting athletes in nearly every sport, from professionals and adults to students and kids.  • Make plans this weekend to head out for the Rainier Mountain Festival. The event includes a huge gear sale; mountain safety courses; Mountaineers Books authors; and slideshows by Ed Viesturs, Dave Hahn and Melissa Arnot.
