A 37-year-old man staying at a hotel in Fife accidentally shot himself in the hand, Fife police said Tuesday.
The shooting occurred just after 10 a.m. in the 3500 block of Pacific Highway East. Officers were called to the hotel and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound from a .45-caliber pistol.
Police said the bullet went through the wall of the man’s hotel room, and pieces of it landed on a bed next to a man in the adjoining room. The second man was not hurt, police said.
The man who was shot was taken to the hospital. Detectives found five more guns in his room while investigating.
