An administrator at a Tacoma middle school is on paid administrative leave following allegations he failed to intervene when two male students were getting ready to fight.
Tacoma Public Schools spokesman Dan Voelpel said a parent of one of the boys claims that the administrator told them to take the fight outside of school instead of breaking up the fight.
Voelpel said the incident occurred Tuesday at First Creek Middle School. He did not name the administrator, but added that the man began working in Tacoma last school year.
Voelpel said the administrator will remain on leave until the district completes its investigation of the incident.
