St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tacoma plans blessing for new Celtic cross

St. Patrick Catholic Church and School will host a blessing ceremony to dedicate a new 20-foot Celtic cross and sign at 8:45 a.m. today. The ceremony will be at 1112 N. G St., Tacoma.

St. Patrick Catholic Church and School will host a blessing ceremony to dedicate a new 20-foot Celtic cross and sign at 8:45 a.m. today. The ceremony will be at 1112 N. G St., Tacoma.

The symbolism behind the Celtic cross and sign reflects the parish community’s pride in its Irish namesake. The new cross and sign were made possible by a donation from Keith Klein, a former member of St. Pat’s and owner of Tacoma Steel.
