A Tacoma teacher accused of hostility toward a parent is on paid administrative leave while the Tacoma School District investigates, district officials said Tuesday.
The Sept. 6 incident at Edison Elementary School involved an interaction between a teacher and a father waiting to pick up his child, Tacoma Police reports say. The father told police that the teacher yelled at him, told him he couldn’t wait for his child on the school playground and “began to physically escort” him off the playground.
Other witnesses gave similar accounts to police. The initial police report did not indicate whether police spoke to the teacher.
