San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Mathews suffered a broken collarbone in the Chargers' first preseason game and has not played since.

The third-year pro rushed for 1,091 yards and six touchdowns over 14 games last season.

Tight end Antonio Gates also missed last week's game with a rib injury, but is probable for Sunday as he was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday.

Running back Curtis Brinkley (knee), tight end Dante Rosario (calf) and wide receiver Eddie Royal are also listed as probable.

Offensive tackle Jared Gaither (back) and cornerback Shareece Wright (foot) are both ruled out for the contest.
