A Tacoma man tied up his 69-year-old housemate and hit him over the head with a sledgehammer before robbing him Thursday, police said.
A third housemate came home about 6:30 p.m. and found the victim bloodied and bound with duct tape, police said. The 32-year-old suspect had fled the home in the 6400 block of M Street in the victim’s car after stealing his car keys, cash and credit cards, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers know who the suspect is but had not yet located him, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said Friday.
