Drive-by shooting in Parkland injures two at restaurant

Two people were wounded early Friday in a drive-by shooting in a restaurant parking lot in Parkland, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

Two people were wounded early Friday in a drive-by shooting in a restaurant parking lot in Parkland, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

The incident occurred about 1 a.m. in the parking lot of the Denny’s restaurant at 10802 Pacific Ave. S.

Witnesses said a car pulled up and someone opened fire at two people standing outside the restaurant. The car then sped off.

One victim was shot in the leg; the other was shot in the torso. Their conditions were unavailable.

No description of the gunman was available.
