The public is invited to a community forum to learn about a proposed capital levy for Federal Way Public Schools. The forum is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Federal Way High School Little Theater.

The Nov. 6 capital levy would raise $60 million if voters approve it. With funds left over from previous bond measures and with anticipated matching funds from the state, the school district estimates it would be able to make $110 million worth of facility improvements. Those include a new Federal Way High School, updating security systems district-wide and replacing worn-out playground equipment at 19 schools.
