An Eatonville man pulled over by a Washington State Patrol trooper fatally shot himself Monday after pulling into a grocery store parking lot in Elk Plain, the agency said.
The trooper pulled the man over shortly before 2 p.m. at the store at state Route 7 and 224th Street East and the man shot himself, trooper Guy Gill said.
The 63-year-old man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died, Gill said.
The man’s death was being investigated as a possible suicide, Gill said.
