NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly hopes negotiations with the players’ association will resume this week as the sides seek to end the nine-day lockout.
Daly spoke to reporters after meeting with union officials in Toronto on Monday about last year’s hockey-related revenue. There were no negotiations on a new collective bargaining agreement, but Daly says a new proposal from the NHLPA would spark talks. The most recent offer was made by the league on Sept. 12, the last time formal negotiations took place.
