Downed electrical lines trapped 38 students on a school bus in Auburn on Wednesday after the bus hit a power pole on its route home. No one was hurt.
The power lines fell on the bus after the crash at 292nd Street Southeast and 132nd Avenue Southeast.
The students were from Arthur Jacobson Elementary School, said deputy superintendent Mike Newman.
Puget Sound Energy crews responded and confirmed that the bus caused an outage affecting 1,700 customers.
Crews closed 132nd Avenue Southeast in both directions in front of Auburn Mountainview High School.
