The New England Patriots released tight end Kellen Winslow Thursday.

Winslow signed with the Patriots on Sept. 19 and played in Sunday's 31-30 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

He had one catch for 12 yards in the contest.

The sixth-overall pick by Cleveland in 2004 has 438 receptions for 4,848 yards and 23 touchdowns through 93 career games with the Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Patriots.
