 • Celebrate everything to do with Italy at the annual Italian Festival starting today at Seattle Center. It features art, music, dance, food and fun for the entire family and is going on through Sunday. Seattle Center is at 305 Harrison St., Seattle.

 • Celebrate visual and performing artists at the annual UP for Arts 2012 Falls Arts & Concerts Series starting tonight. Featured artists this month are oil/pastel artist Janyce Sukow and the Washington Contemporary Ballet. It’s 7-8:30 tonight University Place Civic Building, 3609 Market Place West, University Place.  • It’s a night for Christian theater at the presentation of “Godspell,” a musical based on the Gospel of Matthew written by John-Michael Tebelak with music by John Schwartz. Tonight’s performance is at 7:30. Additional showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Saturday, 4 p.m. Sunday and it runs through Oct. 14 at Fircrest Presbyterian Church, 1250 Emerson St., Fircrest. Tickets are $10 adults, $8 students/seniors. 253-564-3737.

They’re halfway through a residency taught by renowned Tacoma clay artist Yuki Nakamura, and they’re learning about glazes in preparation for creating temporary and permanent art installations.
