Jenna Mullin had 21 kills, 14 digs and three blocks to help Emerald Ridge rally to an 18-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-18, 15-4 SPSL South victory over rival Rogers. Megan Horton added 30 assists and five aces for the Jaguars.
Felicity Cann finished first with two state-qualifying times – in the 200 individual medley (2:12.04) and 100 butterfly (59.04) – but it wasn’t enough for Stadium to avoid a 94-86 loss to Narrows League 4A foe Olympia. The Bears’ Sarah Norman had second-place finishes in the 200 IM (2:14.59) and 100 butterfly (1:00.66) – also state-qualifying times.
Foss’ Pawrisa Onmun’s six-save shutout and Tyfanni Chin’s goal in the 54th minute helped the Narrows 3A Falcons to a 1-0 win over Shelton.
Bonney Lake’s Ashley Cade had a hat trick in the SPSL 3A Panthers’ 3-0 victory over Decatur.
Mitch Stewart (6-0, 6-0) and Alex Lewis (6-1, 6-0) each won singles matches but host Federal Way lost to SPSL 4A crosstown rival Todd Beamer, 3-2, after the Titans swept the doubles matches.
Eatonville’s Ron Roberts (18:53) and Nicole Brankline (22:01) finished first in the Niqually League 1A boys and girls meets at Vashon. Both Cruisers teams defeated the Pirates, Life Christian and Cascade Christian.
