A 40-year-old Orting woman was killed late Saturday when her car rolled over on state Route 162.
The Washington State Patrol said Jennifer L. Land was westbound on SR 162 just before 10 p.m. in a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer. According to the State Patrol, Land failed to negotiate a curve near Fish Hatchery Road and left the roadway. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top.
Land was pronounced dead at the scene. She had been wearing a seat belt.
Trooper Guy Gill said that alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash.
