    Monday, May 20, is Victoria Day in Canada. It honors Queen Victoria's birthday, which is actually May 24, and is celebrated the week before Memorial Day in the United States.

    Victoria Day is the first big spring/summer holiday in Canada, with lots of traveling, picnics, gardening and some fireworks displays. It's also called the May Two-Four, a reference to a case of beer, as a lot of beer drinking happens over the weekend as well.
