Tuesday highlights

Olympia’s No. 3 doubles boys tennis team of Nolan Godfrey and Wookie Chung overcame a 4-1 third-set deficit and reeled off seven consecutive points in the tiebreaker to defeat Bellarmine Prep’s Ted Tanner and Chris Wood, 1-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-2), in the Bears’ 3-2 win over the Lions.

Sumner’s Abby Smith and Jamie Lange combined for a shutout, and Kaylie Rozell and Brenna Allsop each scored a goal to give the Spartans a 2-0 road win over Fife.

Courtney Schwan had 16 kills, 11 digs and three blocks to help Bellarmine Prep to a road volleyball win over Gig Harbor, 25-12, 16-25, 25-13, 25-23.

Foss’ Emma Chard finished first with three girls swimming state qualifying times – 50 free-style (24.93), 100 butterfly (1:02.15) and as a part of the 200 free-style relay (1:45.62) – but the Falcons fell to Gig Harbor, 122-60.

Fife’s Kendall Gray shot a one-over 39 to earn medalist honors and help the Trojans beat Franklin Pierce (71-46) and Washington (71-14) in a dual meet at Brookdale Golf Course.
