The Buffalo Bills signed offensive lineman Reggie Wells on Tuesday.

Wells has played nine years in the NFL since coming into the league in 2003 with Arizona, which drafted him in the sixth round.

Since then, he has played a total of 117 games, 91 of which were starts. He spent his first seven seasons with Arizona before playing with Philadelphia in 2010 and Carolina last season.

To make room on the roster for Wells, the team placed offensive lineman Colin Brown on injured reserve. Brown tore his hamstring in the first half of Sunday's loss to San Francisco.
