Tacoma Link light rail service was interrupted Tuesday night toward the end of pop/rock artist Justin Bieber’s concert at the Tacoma Dome, due to a power outage near the University of Washington Tacoma.

A blown transformer caused the outage at the university and in the surrounding area about 9 p.m., according to Tacoma Fire.

No one was hurt in the explosion and there was no fire, Tacoma Fire said.

Sound Transit said it would arrange buses to go between the Tacoma Dome Station and the Theater District.

Tacoma Public Utilities spokeswoman Chris Gleason said she expected power to be restored Tuesday night.

About 30 people lost power, she said, and some traffic signals were affected.
